- 2 cups of regular rice
- Urad dal - 1 cup
- 2 tsp salt or taste .
- 1 tsp methi dal
Preparation :
- Soak the rice for 10 hours or overnight
- Soak dal for 10 hours or overnight
- Grind the rice, methi, urad dal .
- Mix the rice urad dal and salt in a bowl
- Keep the batter for 8-10 hours or more in a warm place to get fermented properly .
- Put the spoonfuls of the batter into greased idle moulds and steam for 10 to 12 minutes .
- Repeat with the remaining better to more idles serve hot with coconut chutney and samber .
