How to prepare a sweet Badam Halwa

The South Indian Almond Halwa is one of  god`s gift to children . Almond  is a rich sources of Vitamin E  , Manganese , calcium , phosphorous , iron and magnesium . It also contain zinc , riboflavin  (Vitamin B2 )  and niacin (Vitamin  V3) . in fast  almond is the most nutritious of commonly consumed  nuts . Almond are scientifically proven to aid brain development in children , improve complexion , regulate blood pressure  , prevent diabetes and reused the risk of cancer . Almond is also known to contain monosaturated fats and phytosterols   associated with cholesterol - lowering proprietary . 
Preparation time : 2 hours 
Cooking time 4 hours


The ingredients of prepare almond Halwa :

South Indian Almond Halwa .
  • Almonds -  125 grams 
  • Sugar - 1 cup 
  • Saffron (Kesar) - 2 tsp 
  • Ghee - 10-12 tsp
  • Cardamom - 1 tsp 
  • Orange food colour - 1 pinch (optional) 
  • Milk - 1 cup  
  • Khoya - 250 gram . 
  • Almond essence . - 2 drops
Preparation:

  • Blanch the almond , cool and remove skin . 
  • Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a frying pan , add the almonds and fry over medium heat until light golden . Drain , cool , transfer to a blander and make a coarse paste . 
  • Soak saffron in 2 tsp of warm milk for 15 Minutes 
  • Heat remaining ghee , add khoya , Bruno on medium heat until light golden . 
  • Add sugar . Stir . 
  • Add milk , stir . 
  • Add almond paste .stir . 
  • Add saffron and Bruno for 5-6 minutes . Add cardamom powder . 
  • remove form flame . Add almond essence  . serve hot .
