How to prepare a Kesari bath

The south Indian Kesari Bath is a very sweet and simple south Indian dessert mainly  prepared during festive and special occasions . Adding  fruits make it even tastier and here`s one with pineapple being our key guest ingredients .
Preparation time : 1 hour 
cooking time : 1 hour 
Served to member :  4 member .

The ingredients of preparing kesari  Bath :


  • Rava - 1 cup 
  • Ghee - 1 cup 
  • Cardamom - 1 tsp 
  • saffron to garnish  
  • Dry fruits of choice . 
  • Sugar -  2 cup  
  • Water - 3 cup 
  • Cashew nuts - 10 
  • Raisins - 10 
  • Food colour (yellow colour) - 1 pinch  



 

Preparation :

  1. Remove the skin and powder the cardamom , fry cashew nuts and raisins in ghee till light brown and keep a side . 
  2. In the same pan , add little more ghee and fry rave until there is a slight change in the colour .
  3. Boil 2 cups of water in a vessel . When it begins to boil  , add kesar, yellow colour  and sugar . 
  4. Add the rave little by little to avoid lumps . 
  5. sprinkle cardamom powder simmer and cover with lid so that rave cooks well . 
  6. Top it with the remaining ghee 
  7. Garnish a cashew nut and Raisins . 
Kesari Bath is ready to serve in chilled .
