The indigents of prepare Ragi :
- Ragi - 2 cup
- Jaggery - 2-3 cups
- Coconut milk - 1 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- salt to taste .
- Ghee - 1 cup
Preparation :
- Soak Ragi in water for 2-3 hours
- Take above all ingredients in a mixer grinder with little water .
- Grind it till smooth paste .
- Strain through of a fine sieve ans squeeze out to exert milk from that .
- Cook in a heavy bottom pan , tarring constantly till it becomes thick and transparent .
- Add ghee , cardamom powder and mix well
- When Halwa consistency is reached remove from fire and pour on a greased plate . Cut it to Required shape .
